Speakers wanted for South Dakota MarketPlace Conference

The South Dakota Farmers Union is looking for speakers for the second annual South Dakota MarketPlace business conference coming this October 9-10, 2012, at the Crossroads Hotel & Huron Event Center in Huron. It’s a dynamic, two-day conference for current business owners, entrepreneurs, community development leaders, nonprofit agencies, teachers, agricultural producers, aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone interested in growing businesses in South Dakota.

Speakers and presenters are needed to cover topics like marketing, financing, technology, business management, workforce development, sales training, public policy, community development, social media, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership. If you have expertise in one of these areas and would like to be considered for a spot in the program, just click on this link: www.marketplacesd.com and you’ll find a Request for Proposal section on the right hand side. Simply fill out the online form, or print the PDF and send it to us. We’ll be going over the proposals in July, and will select the speakers soon after for the October event. The deadline to submit an RFP is JUNE 22, 2012. It’s a great way to get to know people and help others with the knowledge you’ve gained through your experiences and your career.

If you’re not interested in speaking, head to the website to learn more about the conference. You’ll find a video about last year’s event. You’ll find out what you missed, and why you should be there in October. Participant registration will be open soon, so make sure to check back often.
