The Iowa City Area Development (ICAD) Group was one of three Midwest economic development organizations recently recognized in the “Annual Report” category during the MidAmerica Economic Development Council (MAEDC) Economic Development Awards held December 9 in Chicago.
More than twenty-five organizations from MAEDC’s ten-state territory submitted entries in their choice of six categories, including Annual Report, Community Marketing, Newsletter, Workforce Development, Online Marketing and Business Retention programming.
ICAD Group Communications Director Eric Hanson accepted the award for ICAD Group.
“Working with Benson and Hepker Design, we created a unique, spiral bound book and folder that helps our investors easily track the progress of work each year,” said Hanson. “This design affords us the opportunity to streamline our reporting process into an easy-to-read, project update and timeline foldout that investors can store and access.”
The Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation from Wisconsin took the top prize in the Annual Report category.
The Mid-America Economic Development Council is a multi-state association dedicated to being the leading resource for education, making connections, and sharing best practices for economic development professionals.
For many years, The Mid-America Economic Development Council has sponsored the annual Economic Development Awards competition to recognize and stimulate the creative use of quality marketing by economic development organizations throughout the ten-state Mid-America region in promoting their respective communities.
