City Administrator, Huxley, Iowa

Description:

The city administrator oversees the following departments: city hall, wasterwater, water, streets, cemetery, parks & recreation, police, code enforcement, zoning, and finance, which includes 20 full time employees and an operating budget of $9.3 millon. The city administrator is also responsible for the supervision of capital projects and keeping the five member city council and mayor fully advised of the city's financial condition and overall future needs.

Qualifications:

Qualifiactions include 3 to 5 years of experience in a public sector management position, with an emphasis on city finance, budget development, labor relations, strategic planning, and technogogy needs.

$90,000 - $120,000 annual salary, with a full range of benefits.

Education:
Four year college degree in public administration, engineering, law, or business administration.
